- Hard Candy for dry mouth
- Cards, games, books, or crossword puzzles
- Cassette or CD player and music
- Bathrobe, Pajamas, socks, nightgown, and slippers
- Toothpaste, toothbrush and other toiletries
- Hair band
- A favorite pillow
- A sponge or water spray to cool you down
- Nursing bras or good support bras
